About the Dance

Mirror & Salsa introduces the energy and dynamic movement of Salsa into the Mirror Line Dance system.

The choreography begins with rhythmic rock steps and triple-step patterns before progressing into traveling passes and rotational exchanges inspired by Salsa’s cross-body movements.

Unlike traditional partnered dances that assign fixed leader-and-follower roles, Mirror & Salsa allows dancers to alternate between stationary rotations and traveling movements.

The choreography also incorporates circular partner pathways, creating a dynamic interaction between the dancers while emphasizing timing, spatial coordination, and shared participation.

Its alternating movement roles demonstrate how partner equality can be incorporated into structured choreography.

Stepsheet

The stepsheet describes the movements for both dancers (Dancer 1 and Dancer 2).
