About the Dance

Mirror & Tango combines the dramatic expression of Tango with the geometric structure of Mirror Line Dance.

The choreography incorporates deliberate Tango walks, controlled backward and forward movements, expressive lunges known as cortes, and coordinated directional exchanges.

One of its distinctive elements is the Double Switch, a symmetrical movement pattern in which dancers perform diagonal exchanges while maintaining their coordinated spatial relationship.

The dance concludes with a promenade-inspired sequence and a quarter-turn transition to the next wall.

Mirror & Tango emphasizes posture, balance, controlled movement, and the visual connection between partners.

Rather than teaching traditional Tango partnering techniques, it introduces Tango-inspired movements through an accessible, structured line dance format.

Stepsheet

The stepsheet describes the movements for both dancers (Dancer 1 and Dancer 2).
